The Syllabus

As far as the ACCA syllabus is concerned, it is divided into 3 distinct levels viz. Skills, Professional and Knowledge. Candidates are required to appear for as many as 13 papers and the ACCA Course details are as follows:

  • For Knowledge Level the candidates are required to appear for 3 ACCA exam papers.
  • To pass the Skills Level, candidates will have to appear for a total of 6 ACCA exam papers.
  • For the Professional Level, candidates will have to pass 4 ACCA exam papers (while two are compulsory, the other two are choice based papers)

The course provides candidates with Diploma in Accounting & Business after they have passed the Knowledge Level exams. On the other hand, the Advance Diploma in Accounting & Business is awarded for passing Skills Level exams. Apart from this, the Professional Level Certificate & ACCA Affiliate status is granted for passing the ACCA Professional Level exams.

The candidate can also apply for the ‘B.Sc. in Applied Accounting’ granted by the Oxford Brookes University upon the submission of theses after duly passing the ACCA Skills level examination. Also, the affiliate or member can apply for the ‘M.Sc. in Professional Accountancy , which is granted by the University of London upon appearing for one additional examination as well as submission of a theses once he/she has pass the ACCA Professional level exam.

Eligibility for the ACCA Certification

In order to pass the ACCA Course, a candidate must have cleared his/her 10th or SSC exam through FIA or the Foundation in Accountancy. Apart from this, professionals who have passed their HSC exams with Mathematics or Accounts and English as their subjects and have scored 65percent marks as well as an aggregate of 50percent are also eligible for the ACCA Course. Candidates who are pursuing their graduation as well as those who are already graduated can also appear for the ACCA exam.
